What is eForex?

eForex is an online money changing service for Corporate Companies and Individuals by Merchantrade Asia Sdn Bhd.

Who is eligible to use "Personal Account" for eForex service?

The service of eForex can be used by any individual who are 18 years of age and above, possess a valid Photo ID (passport for a foreigner and IC for a Malaysian Citizen).

eForex can be used by any company registered in Malaysia.

REGISTRATION

Visit www.eforex.com.my ,click "Register Now" button on the home page and complete the registration form.

PURCHASE

Place your order; make your payment via online payments gateway (MyClear) and collect your currencies at the listed Merchantrade branches.

VERIFICATION & COLLECTION

Personal Account
Submit your identification document (NRIC /Driving License for Malaysian citizens or Passport /Visa for non-Malaysian Citizens) for verification (Customer Due Diligence process) at the chosen Merchantrade pick up branch when collecting the currencies.

Corporate Account
Visit any of our listed Merchantrade branches to submit your company documents or our Marketing Executives will visit you (by appointment) to collect your company documents for verification (Customer Due Diligence process). Click (here) to view list of documents. To make appointment kindly send an email to https://mccs.mtradeasia.com/ to collect your document or submit the required document at the Merchantrade branch.

Document submission is a regulatory requirement for the purpose of Customer Due Diligence. Customer needs to be verified physically against the submitted documents.

Merchantrade Asia Sdn Bhd offers most currencies online, however, if the currency you require is not listed online, please proceed to the nearest Merchantrade branches or please contact our Customer Care consultant if you need further assistance.

You can view the currency exchange rates from the main page of our website www.eforex.com.my or from the Mobile Application. The final exchange rate will be the displayed rate at the point of your confirmation of transaction.

Merchantrade does provide this service as a special request but it’s subject to the availability.

eforex does not offer "sell" services. If you need to sell currency, please visit any of our Merchantrade branches.

Every customer can make a purchase in advance and choose a collection date up to 6 months later.

Merchantrade does not impose any additional charges for collection via listed Merchantrade branches. Service Charges & GST only apply for premium delivery.

We offer the best online rate; exclusive to eForex customer. You can view the current exchange rates from the main page of our website www.eforex.com.my or from the Mobile Application.

You will need to transact a minimum of RM500 worth of currency .If you need to exchange a smaller amount of currency, please visit any of our Merchantrade branches.

Yes, once we obtain payment authorisation from your merchant or service provider, transaction confirmation slip will be sent to the registered email address.

If your confirmation email is not received within five minutes;

  • Please check your junk mail box.
  • Refer to your email settings to mark eForex emails as acceptable.

Note: If you ordered using a company email address, our email may have been blocked by your company.

eForex ensures the highest level of security for its payment platforms. We use industry standard Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology to encrypt all personal data transmissions. This means personal and payment information passed between your computer and our website cannot be read by a third party.

You can pick your currency from selected Merchantrade branches.

Earliest delivery options are only made available 2 days after the purchase date.

Amendment requests can be made via eForex system (subject to approval & cannot be guaranteed).

Any cancellation of Transaction by the User must be initiated through the eForex System within 3 hours after the transaction is performed. User is not permitted to cancel any transaction after a lapse of 3 hours from the time a transaction is successfully performed through the eForex system. User is not permitted to cancel any transaction after a lapse of 3 hours from the time a transaction is successfully performed through the eForex System.

Under no circumstances will your personal data be shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

We will never ask you to click on a link that directs you to enter or confirm security information. If you are in doubt regarding the authenticity of an email appearing to be from us, contact our customer service team immediately for clarification.

Certain amendments can be done by self-service via the system such as change of email address and change of password. Any other personal detail amendment can be made by contacting our customer care.

You may assign a third party to collect your order on your behalf. This authorisation only applies to your second transaction onwards. You need to register authorised third party details in eForex website and he/she would need to bring identification documents along with the pin number for verification at Merchantrade branches before eForex staff can release the currencies to them.
